DESCRIPTION:La Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPA
 L)\, junto a la Conferencia de Direcciones y Autoridades Iberoamericanos d
 el Agua (CODIA)\, el Programa Hidrológico Intergubernamental de la UNESCO
  para América Latina y el Caribe\, y el Gobierno de Chile a través de la
  Dirección de Fronteras y Límites (DIFROL) del Ministerio de Relaciones 
 Exteriores\, convocan a la Semana Regional del Agua de América Latina y 
 el Caribe – Santiago\, Chile 2025\, que se celebrará del 6 al 10 de oc
 tubre de 2025 en la sede de CEPAL en Santiago de Chile\, en formato híbr
 ido (presencial y virtual). Esta edición cuenta con el impulso de la Dire
 cción General de Aguas (DGA) en su calidad de presidencia pro tempore de 
 CODIA\, y el apoyo de la Secretaría de la Convención del Agua (CEPE-ONU)
 .Este evento regional de alto nivel será un espacio clave para generar s
 inergias entre quienes trabajan por el agua en los países de la región\,
  promoviendo el seguimiento de los compromisos asumidos en la Agenda Regi
 onal de Acción por el Agua (adoptada en 2023) y reforzando la implementa
 ción del Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible 6 (ODS 6): garantizar el acce
 so universal al agua y al saneamiento y promover su gestión sostenible.\n
 The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC)\, toge
 ther with the Conference of Ibero-American Water Directors and Authorities
  (CODIA) and the Government of Chile\, through the Chilean Ministry of For
 eign Affairs’ Borders and Boundaries Directorate (DIFROL)\, are convenin
 g the Latin America and Caribbean Regional Water Week – Santiago\, Chil
 e 2025\, which will take place from October 6 to 10\, 2025\, at ECLAC hea
 dquarters in Santiago\, Chile\, in a hybrid format (both in-person and vi
 rtual). This edition is being promoted by the General Directorate of Water
  (DGA) in its role as interim president of CODIA\, with the support of the
  Secretariat of the Water Convention (UNECE-UN).\nThis high-level regional
  event will serve as a key platform to foster synergies among those workin
 g on water-related issues across countries in the region. It aims to promo
 te the follow-up on commitments made in the Regional Water Action Agenda
  (adopted in 2023) and to strengthen the implementation of Sustainable D
 evelopment Goal 6 (SDG 6): Ensure availability and sustainable management
