DESCRIPTION:El Consejo Regional de Planificación es el órgano subsidiari
 o de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) a ca
 rgo de la orientación sustantiva de las actividades del Instituto Latinoa
 mericano y del Caribe de Planificación Económica y Social (ILPES)\, y es
 tá integrado por los Ministros u otras autoridades en materia de planific
 ación de los Estados miembros. Sus acuerdos se consignan en resoluciones 
 que se ratifican en los períodos de sesiones de la CEPAL.\nThe Regional C
 ouncil for Planning is a subsidiary body of the Economic Commission for La
 tin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and governs the activities of the La
 tin American and Caribbean Institute for Economic and Social Planning (ILP
 ES). The member States of the Institute are represented at the meetings of
  the Council by their ministers or heads of planning. The agreements of th
 e Council are set forth in resolutions\, which are ratified by ECLAC at it
