El Programa Bienal de Actividades de Cooperación Regional e Internacional 2022-2023 de la Conferencia Estadística de las Américas de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe se enmarca en el Plan Estratégico 2015-2025, que establece como ejes de acción el fortalecimiento institucional y el papel rector de las oficinas nacionales de estadística, el desarrollo de los recursos humanos y de la producción estadística para asegurar su calidad y la coordinación y cooperación regionales e internacionales para el desarrollo de las estadísticas oficiales en la región.
En la vigesimotercera Reunión del Comité Ejecutivo de la Conferencia Estadística de las Américas de la CEPAL se analizarán los desafíos regionales que deberían abordarse en el nuevo Plan Estratégico 2026-2035. Junto con eso, se examinará el avance en la ejecución del Programa Bienal de Actividades de Cooperación Regional e Internacional 2024-2025 de la Conferencia Estadística de las Américas de la CEPAL.
The 2022–2023 biennial programme of regional and international cooperation activities of the Statistical Conference of the Americas of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean is framed within the Strategic Plan 2015-2025, which established as the pillars of action of the Conference the achievement of more robust institutions and a stronger governing role for national statistical offices; the development of human resources and statistical production in order to ensure quality; and regional and international coordination and cooperation for the development of official statistics in the region.
At its twenty-third meeting, the Executive Committee of the Statistical Conference of the Americas of ECLAC will consider regional challenges to be addressed in the new strategic plan for the period 2026–2035. The Executive Committee will also review the progress in the implementation of the biennial programme of regional and international cooperation activities, 2024–2025, of the Statistical Conference of the Americas of ECLAC.
