The overall objective of the national training course is to strengthen the skills level of members of the NOC of the Government of Jamaica in project proposal preparation and effective project implementation, towards enhancing institutional capacity to ensure effective and efficient project delivery and achieve higher project success rates.

Expected outcome

At the conclusion of the workshop, government officials and technical officers in Jamaica would have gained improved knowledge of the funding cycle for development grants and be better able to provide a supportive environment for attracting these funds for financing development in the country, as well as improved skills in project proposal writing and project planning, execution and monitoring, towards increasing project proposal approvals and enhancing project implementation effectiveness and efficiency. With the knowledge gained, a strengthened environment for best practices in data-informed decision-making is achieved in Jamaica.
