La Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), junto a la Conferencia de Direcciones y Autoridades Iberoamericanos del Agua (CODIA) y el Gobierno de Chile a través de la Dirección de Fronteras y Límites (DIFROL) del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, convocan a la Semana Regional del Agua de América Latina y el Caribe – Santiago, Chile 2025, que se celebrará del 6 al 10 de octubre de 2025 en la sede de CEPAL en Santiago de Chile, en formato híbrido (presencial y virtual). Esta edición cuenta con el impulso de la Dirección General de Aguas (DGA) en su calidad de presidencia pro tempore de CODIA, y el apoyo de la Secretaría de la Convención del Agua (CEPE-ONU).
The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), together with the Conference of Ibero-American Water Directors and Authorities (CODIA) and the Government of Chile, through the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Borders and Boundaries Directorate (DIFROL), are convening the Latin America and Caribbean Regional Water Week – Santiago, Chile 2025, which will take place from October 6 to 10, 2025, at ECLAC headquarters in Santiago, Chile, in a hybrid format (both in-person and virtual). This edition is being promoted by the General Directorate of Water (DGA) in its role as interim president of CODIA, with the support of the Secretariat of the Water Convention (UNECE-UN).
This high-level regional event will serve as a key platform to foster synergies among those working on water-related issues across countries in the region. It aims to promote the follow-up on commitments made in the Regional Water Action Agenda (adopted in 2023) and to strengthen the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6): Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
Este evento regional de alto nivel será un espacio clave para generar sinergias entre quienes trabajan por el agua en los países de la región, promoviendo el seguimiento de los compromisos asumidos en la Agenda Regional de Acción por el Agua (adoptada en 2023) y reforzando la implementación del Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible 6 (ODS 6): garantizar el acceso universal al agua y al saneamiento y promover su gestión sostenible.
