La undécima reunión de la Conferencia Estadística de las Américas, que se realizará en línea del 23 al 25 de noviembre de 2021, está siendo organizada por la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) y el Gobierno de Colombia, a través del Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE).
En esta undécima reunión de la Conferencia Estadística de las Américas se realizará la presentación y debate de dos temas sustantivos: los avances y desafíos para la modernización de las legislaciones estadísticas nacionales y la consolidación de los sistemas estadísticos nacionales, y las perspectivas regionales sobre el uso de nuevas metodologías y fuentes de datos para la producción estadística. Además, los Estados miembros deberán examinar los resultados del Programa Bienal de Actividades de Cooperación Regional e Internacional 2020-2021 de la Conferencia Estadística de las Américas de la CEPAL, aprobar la creación de Grupos de Trabajo para el período 2022- 2023 y elegir al nuevo Comité Ejecutivo de la Conferencia para dicho período.
The eleventh meeting of the Statistical Conference of the Americas, which will be held online, from 23 to 25 November 2021, is being organized by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Government of Colombia, through the Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE).
At this eleventh meeting, the Statistical Conference of the Americas will discuss two substantive topics progress and challenges for the modernization of national statistical legislation and the consolidation of national statistical systems; and regional perspectives on the use of new methodologies and data sources for statistical production. The States members will also examine the outcomes of the biennial programme of regional and international activities, 2020–2021, of the Statistical Conference of ECLAC, endorse the establishment of working groups for the period 2022–2023 and elect the new Executive Committee of the Conference for that period.
